My First Competition!

Back on Saturday, February 28th, I had a REALLY busy day!  First of all, I went to my friend, Lilly’s baptism.  She was my first friend that has been baptized that I got to go see.  It was a really cool time, and made me really excited that I get to be baptized soon.  We had to leave her baptism right after she got baptized, because I had my first dance competition. 

I was so confident and I was a little nervous!  But once I got on stage I had SO MUCH FUN! 

My first dance was to the music of Imagine, by David Archuleta.  It was a lyrical dance.  I really liked my costume.  It was pale pink with ribbons down the back.  I felt like I was going to win a really big award, and I did!   It was an overall high point for the day!  Here are some pictures of of my team doing my routine.  I felt like we did really good. 

While we were back stage getting ready to dance, we were practicing and Hannah got a bloody nose, so we had to let another team go first so that we could help Hannah.  She was able to go on, and she was OK. 

When we finished dancing, everyone in the audience clapped as we walked off.  There were about three hundred people there, and I felt a little shy because there were so many people there. 

Grandma Robin came to see me dance.  And so did Opa with Kenna and Cayden and Kenna’s friend Aubrey, and Hunny.  Mommy and Daddy and Chloe and Hannah came to see me dance too.

My last dance was Oh So Quiet.  It is a jazz routine.  My costume was bright blue with black trim.  The black trim was kind of like feathers, and they kept falling off and floating away!  I am the one in the middle in the back

At the very end of the dance, we all stand in a line and hold each other’s leg.  As we are doing that, Megan and Dylainey are doing their back hand springs.  I am the third one on the left in this picture.

After we finished dancing we had to wait for a long time to see who got the awards.  I got a medal with a medal with an eagle on it just for dancing.  The eagle was for Eagle Mountain.  At the very end of the night, they announced the awards  For Imagine, my team wond 1st place, and for Beginning we had the overall high point out of 70 teams!!!  Wow! 

This is a picture of my dance teacher, Misty.  She one of my heros.  I really love her.  I love to go to my dance classes because of her.  I also love Miss Leisha and Candace and Paige.  Misty has been my teacher for almost two years. 

It was pretty late when it was all finished, so Hunny took Hannah home because she was really tired, and mommy and daddy took me and Chloe out to celebrate at Iceberg, for ice cream.  It was really fun!  Me and Chloe had volcanoes (a mountain of ice-cream with hot caramel inside!  It was delicious.  Here are some pictures of our volcanoes and our celebration and being so goofy!

 

I had so much fun on this day that I want to go back in time and do it all over again!
